Hi! I’m Matthias Thijsen, freelance filmmaker and photographer. What started as two separate hobbies has now evolved into one big passion: making films and creating content about sports, more accurate: about cycling. In my younger years I always dreamed about becoming a pro-cyclist, but over the years my dream has changed into making films about things that catch my attention, people who have a story to tell. I mainly focus on creating content about cycling and other sports. With my love for sports and as a sportsman myself, I know how athletes think and how they like that their story is visualised. Being part of the sports community for several years gave me the ability to understand the industry and create great stories about it. I would describe my services as ‘by athletes, for athletes’. Being specialised in this industry doesn’t mean this is all I do. I’m very open minded to any challenge and adventurous project since this job gave me the opportunity to travel the world.
